Dr. Sra grew up in Houston, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Baylor University and her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She completed her internship in general surgery and internal medicine, followed by a research fellowship in corneal-related diseases with an emphasis on dry eye disease and ocular allergies. Dr. Sra completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Sra has published several articles in Ophthalmology journals, co-authored book chapters on immune-related diseases of the eye and has made several scientific presentations at local and national meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, the Texas Ophthalmological Association and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Sra is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with an interest in cataract surgery, dry eye disease, ocular allergies, as well as general ophthalmic medical and surgical care. When Dr. Sra is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
